The Writer
FRWD, Minneapolis | Contributor/Blogger
“FRWD is a new media partnership model. We provide expertise and resources to increase effectiveness for a brand’s digital and overall media strategy. Our independent solution is designed to work with both brand and agency teams to guide, educate and deliver.”
My role: Learn about innovations and advancements in marketing, advertising, and technology. Form opinions on such topics. Share those opinions.
Boulder.me | Contributor
What it is: Boulder.me is an awesome resource of a website to anyone new to Boulder, new to Boulder’s tech scene, or who just wants some really great information on any of the above.
My role: Weekly contributions as I learn my way around, stake my place in the tech scene, and plant my roots in this thriving community. My first post went up today on the Girls in Tech event I attended last night.

Appboy | Blogger

My role: I blog about apps. It’s cool.
Apartment Vigilantes | Blogger

The Do-Gooder | World-Changer
20-Something Bloggers Admin Team | MAD (Charity) Admin
What it is: I say – 20sb is an amazing resource, network, and most importantly – community – of bloggers in their 20s, experiencing everything from first jobs, to career changes, to weddings, new relationships, major life changes, entering the workforce, nearing their 30′s, to grad school, and any other major life changes and events that come our way. I’ve met some of my closest friends, smartest collaborative partners, and even my boyfriend through this community. I’m absolutely thrilled to be on the admin team, taking our 10k+ (!!!) members to the next level of On and Offline Awesome.
My role: MAD Admin. No, I’m not angry. That stands for Make A Difference, and I’m thrilled to be working with Nicole, an amazingly spirited, hilarious, big-hearted world changer on the charity partnerships. You’ll remember that we joined on with ItStartsWith.Us late last year? Well, I’ll be working closely with Nate to be heading up that partnership, helping Nicole bring in new relationships, and working with Derek and Lisa on other partnerships that come our way.
My goals: 20k members! And an influential group of passionate 20-somethings that believe that change DOES start with us, and that we are able to change the world by starting with our own.
The Wellness Initiative, Boulder | Volunteer
What it is: I mentioned this briefly before, but another mention is warranted. TWI’s mission is to “improve the physical health, social and emotional development, and academic performance of low-income youth through yoga-based wellness programs.” I’ve been wanting to do something JUST like this ever since having completed CorePower Yoga’s Teacher Training program.
My role: Right now, I’m helping Executive Director Mara Rose with anything she asks me to. I had the honor of helping to plan and also attending the first annual Yogathon, in which we raised over $14,000 for the organization to keep bringing yoga to our area kids and schools.
My goals: To help this organization that I whole-heartedly believe in raise money to keep the program active and influential in area schools. To eventually be one of the volunteer teachers, either in a middle or a high school here in the area.
Girls in Tech – Denver/Boulder | Chapter Member
What it is: I actually just wrote up a little review of the first chapter meeting for boulder.me here, so you can check that out. Or just know that it’s a great national organization that’s set out to support, recognize, and provide tools and education to women in the tech industry.
My role: I attended the Denver/Boulder chapter’s first meeting last night, and have jumped in and agreed to help any and every way I can to get this up and off the ground.
My goals: To meet and learn from other women in the Denver/Boulder tech scene, to make new friends, and to sharpen my own skills in the various niches of this great, exciting field.
The Speaker
The College of St. Catherine
On February 6, 2009, I had the opportunity to speak to a Marketing/Advertising class at St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN about personal branding, social networks, and how to use the two to create meaningful campaigns and lasting impressions.
Even more fun: I’m coming back in 2010. This time, bigger and better, and will use this as an excuse to finally learn how to use awesome slideshow-sharing things so I can post that here once it happens.
The Enthusiast
Nintendo | Brand About Town
I’m a Brand Enthusiast for Nintendo, thanks to the fantastic program they’re running through Brand About Town.
Brand About Town works with brands to establish “direct and dynamic relationships with customers by creating viral programs that generate word of mouth advocacy” (via the Brand About Town website).
I hosted an incredible Girlfriends Guide to Gaming party at an amazing local art gallery in Minneapolis at the end of June that gave me warm fuzzies because I got to see my girlfriends from all sorts of backgrounds mingle and connect and I just love when that happens.
