Doniree Walker is a blogger, photographer, and social media consultant. Her experience and services include writing/blogging, consulting, editing, photography, and developing resources for bloggers looking to develop their craft, update their blog, and be a part of a larger community.

Blogging

She currently maintains two blogs – a personal blog, Doniree.com (the concept of which was started eight years ago), and a food blog, NomadicFoodie (started in 2009) that grew out of Doniree’s love of the stories a region’s food and agriculture can tell us. At Nomadic Foodie, she focuses on the community of food and her favorite farmers’ market finds.

In addition to running her two blogs, Doniree is the Food Editor at Twenties Hacker, a magazine-style website for 20-somethings that includes music, health, tech, food, money, travel, and career sections. She manages a team of six contributors who post to the website throughout the week and month by creating editorial calendars and encouraging her writers to share their favorite recipes and cooking techniques.

Photography

Doniree started photography as a hobby, and she currently manages her own Etsy shop, Wanderlust and Love, that features her favorite shots. Her work has been featured on numerous blogs and print media.

Consulting

She co-founded Whiskey Cloud, a web hosting and services business, with Nico Del Castillo in 2009. Whiskey Cloud focuses on moving bloggers to self-hosted websites and then takes care of their self-hosted “home” space once they get there. Whiskey Cloud works in partnership with Wanderlust Media (Doniree’s consulting business).

Doniree also recently started Walker Media Network, a still-in-beta advertising network designed specifically for personal bloggers whose biggest focus and selling points are content and audience, not traffic numbers and statistics. In April 2012, Walker Media Network was integrated into Brandating, for personal bloggers who want to earn a little extra money through blogging.

A little something more

In her spare time, she pole dances, frolics, and rocks out shamelessly to mash-ups and remixes of Top 40 music. She also harbors not-so-secret crushes on tutus, tall socks, and pink gadget accessories.
