This week I am :
Watching: Freakonomics, on Netflix Instant Streaming (and I am fascinated by this whole first segment on kids’ names).
Reading: “If You Have to Cry, Go Outside. And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You,” by Kelly Cutrone
Listening to: Pop Culture Happy Hour (thanks to Kyla for the tip!)
Planning for: the birth of my niece. Miranda (my sister) is due on the 27th. That’s like, right now. I’m in Minnesota, so so excited to see her become a mother for the first time, and to welcome this little girl into the world. AUNT DONI FTW.
Looking forward to: YOGA! In St. Paul (ish)! Tomorrow! With Melissa! I promised Jenny I’d get to a yoga class over the weekend (accountability, yo!) and while I didn’t make that, I AM getting to class while I travel. Counts, right?
Eating: goat cheese, pesto, and crackers
Drinking: FlipFlop Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon
What are you currently enjoying, learning, and excited for?

Great book!!
Good luck to your sister. Being an aunt is amazing, Doni. I’ve been an aunt for just over two months now, and so far, it’s the best “job” I’ve ever had. You’ll be a wonderful aunt!
Early Congrats to both you and Miranda!
I am currently learning to love a little yoga studio in Hastings a good friend referred me to. Its been ages since I practiced and with my new schedule I once again have time to do so…cannot wait! It was always so refreshing and left me feeling wonderful!
Definitly enjoying wines from the Cannon River Valley Winery…if you haven’t been there I encourage it, their building is wonderful as are the wines!
I read that book last year & I *love* it.
Congrats on being an Auntie!!
What an exciting time!! I’m glad you were able to get back for your sister. Hooray for your soon-to-be Auntiedom and congrats to your sister
You know my feelings on goat cheese.
Say hi to Minnesota for me!! Have fun lady!
LOVED that movie!
Yay for being an auntie! I know I’ve said this before, but the aunt-niece/nephew relationship is so, very special. I know you’ll be a wonderful aunt!
If you like the Freakonomics movie, you should read the book. It goes into so much more detail. Great read!
I’ve been wanting to read that book for awhile! Enjoy that and spending time with the family. Can’t wait to hear about your new little niece when she arrives!
You have the BEST blog posts!! Loved this round-up, and I LOVE that you penciled in yoga this week! I have a yoga idea for you/us, btw…will send more deets soon
