Remember how I thrive on being busy? Well, I just added the icing to the cake that is my life lately.
Last week, I accepted the Publisher Services Manager position at Lijit Networks here in Boulder. Yesterday was my first day.
It felt like the evolution of what started as an introduction and networking opportunity back in December, grew through some conversations earlier this month, and materialized into a completely exciting (and serendipitously fantastic) relationship.
I’m honored to be working alongside some of this city’s finest including directly with my big-hearted (small-handed) friend, unofficial Boulder welcoming committee, and fellow blogger Grace Boyle, among many other brilliant minds and fun-loving spirits.
Everything feels like a seamless fit, from the job description (“we need someone who gets/loves blogging, preferably with a media buying/ad sales background“- umm, RIGHT?) to the office environment, to the innovative and creatively brilliant minds that I’ll get to learn from and work with.
It is a massive understatement to say that I’m excited.
I jumped right into Boulder’s tech scene the second I got here, and am thrilled to now be officially in on the start-up scene (though, being the city’s newest event-attender and party-crasher has been oodles of fun, too).
Today’s Day 2 of many, and is just one more thing nailing down the fact that I really, actually LIVE here. Work here. Play here.
Awesome.

Congrats on being in on the startup scene! What a huge next step!
What great news! I'm so excited for you. I think that in honor of this big news, I need a Lijit-themed post for today.

I always learn so much from such posts from you.
Congrats, lady!! Sounds like Boulder is treating you well. I'm so happy for you and good luck with the new gig!!
I WAS totally going to do this big ol' Lijit tips post. But then I realizedthat I had actual work-work to do today. Plus, I am supposedly doing my"certain content on a schedule" thingie, which means that since it'sWednesday, I do a list of links. So the Lijit tech tip post will come later.I'm thinking maybe next week's Tech Tip will be a Lijit deep-dive. Tomorrowis supposedly Facebook Fan pages vs. Networked Blogs. Which, speaking ofthat, I want to get your two cents on that. So if I ever remember to emailyou about it today, please reply at some point. kthxbai.

That's so cool! I met Tara ages ago at BlogHer and she's so nice! Geez, I may have to move to Boulder next (don't get your hopes up – no plans on leaving the Big Apple just yet). Congrats on getting a gig! I'm sure that's a huge relief for you.
Congratulations! I love those moments where you realize how much you love your life! I felt like that when I first moved to England for college and was walking through my dorm courtyard and it all just hit me — wow, I really live here and am doing this.
