Gratitude and Looking Forward

I plan to return to regular programming – The Anecdotal Story-Telling Super Fun that is the {d.com} – very very soon.  Things are insane and what free time I have found, I have been hoarding to myself.  And loving every sit-on-the-couch-with-wine-and-a-blanket-moment of it.

I do however want to take a brief moment to say THANK YOU to all who have continued to vote for me for the Good Mood Blogger Gig (I’m almost to 600! Wee!).  I stopped replying to the comments as they came in simply because I don’t need MY replies in there for when the Nintendo DSi winner is selected, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your support!

For funsies, a couple of you have started tossing in comments and quotes with your I voteds and I especially am loving Samantha’s inclusion of a Scrubs quote with EVERY comment.  Seriously, it’s so fun to read this:

samcomment

If you want to spice it up a little with ridiculousness or randomness, be my guest – I’m reading every single comment so you know – tell me your secrets, share your favorite quotes.  Whatevs.  You don’t have to, obviously, but just sayin’ – :)

Also, in the spirit of the paying it backwards and forwards thing I’ve got going on here while you’re helping me kick some voting ass, here are some things up and coming in the next week or so:

  • My dear friend and super gifted writer friend Sean and I are going to swap places for the day.  Kind of like Parent Trap except we’re not twins, and neither of us resembles Hayley Mills OR Lindsay Lohan.  At all.  We’re just trading places.  Trust me, you’re in for SUCH a treat.
  • I’ll do another Weekly Showcase on Friday of giveaways I’ve found around the ‘sphere as well as feature some great projects and initiatives that my new and old friends have started that I think are worth checking out.
  • I’ll do a yoga update soon.  So far, I’ve already chronicled the satsang and the sweaty and emotional detox experiences I’ve had, but weeks three, four, and five have also come with lessons and experiences worth sharing.  For instance, I survived a practice teaching exercise where I got to teach to my whole class (30-something energetic and inspiring yogis).  Guess what sequence I taught?  THE ONE THAT INCLUDES CROW POSE.  Those of you that follow me on Twitter know that this is something that’s become a part of my practice only recently.  The short story is that yes, I absolutely feel as though I have the ability to teach that with compassion as I am quite familiar with what it’s like to fall out of it!  Humbling experience, but absolutely inspiring.  I can’t wait to share it.

So, go vote again, poke around, and gear up for some serious awesomeness here at the {d.com}.

Hearts and stars,

{doniree}

That's what I did last night and it was SO awesome to curl up with my iPod and a journal – pen and paper style! – and just cozy up. Why don't I do that more often?!

Thanks, it's not always a part of my practice, but it's something I'm having much more fun playing with than ever before :)
