Family Traditions

Ok, so maybe it’s not a tradition. To be honest, I’m not even sure where it started.

I mean, I know there’s a picture that my mom took of her sister and two brothers in front of the fireplace at my grandparents’ house. And my aunt and two uncles are doing that famous “see no, speak no, hear no evil” pose.

And that picture kind of lived on. And became a “thing.”

And years later, the kids of those original posers are still doing the same thing.

This is the soon-to-be-bride, my sister Miranda, myself, and our cousin Michelle. We’re in the limo for Miranda’s bachelorette party which took place last night (and went off without a hitch; special MAJOR thank yous to Rachel for taking care of some last minute details for me, and to Brady for a valiant effort, but more importantly – for keeping me from actually freaking out and making me believe that we’d figure it out).

See No, Speak No, Hear No Evil?

No promises.

You’re too cute!

I’m glad the party went well–and I guess you will be speaking no evil of the event?

I'm pretty sure there is a statue of bronzed monkeys doing the same somewhere in Europe. Friends and I took a similar picture on the train in Spain (boredom rules!). I always crack up when people act out sayings – too funny!
