I had a number of favorite moments while in Vegas this past weekend. As I’ve already mentioned, this includes a cheese orgy, a bathroom photo shoot, and playing in fountains.
Additionally, GETTING to Vegas was an adventure in and of itself. Rachel and I flew into Burbank to meet Nicole and Andrea, had a sleepover on the floor/couch of Nicole’s place, and then got up at the crack of dawn on Friday morning to make the drive from LA to Vegas.
The adventure truly started here, making friends on the highway, overdosing on Trader Joe’s Chocolate-Covered Pretzels with Peanut Butter (NOM), shooting some LOUD and hilarious videos, simultaneously loving and laughing at Primm, NV, and super awesome girl talk that took us all the way from Cali to Vegas.
These girls are truly amazing women and I am fortunate to call them my friends-turned-sisters. They’re also stellar bloggers and are part of the reason that I can say that blogging truly changed my life.
If there’s ever been a word I’ve used to describe my life and the way its events seem to unfold, it has been “serendipity.”
So… finding an ice cream sundae on the strip with that word plastered across the front of it, while we happily roamed in our wine-induced haze, in the company of three of many women who would impact my life in a very huge way this weekend… well, serendipity: WIN.
As I believe about all relationships in my life, these relationships are NOT accidents and I am so excited to see where serendipity takes us from here
More of my favorite Vegas moments still yet to come, so stay tuned!

Oh, Sweetie! I know exactly what you mean. I think the best thing about it is that our lives are all so different. I never would have thought we’d end up together, but we did and it just worked! Definitely meant to happen.
i don’t even have the words left to tell you what this weekend… scratch that, YOU mean to me. to think we’ve only PHYSICALLY known each other for like a week now doesn’t even come close to what this weekend was. you’re 150% right when you said “sisters”. I can’t imagine my life without you now and i love your face to pieces. i’m flipping out at the thought that i have to wait til august to cause trouble with you. FAIL.
xoxox
You can never have too many friends! Keep the ones you like/love close, and never lose contact
i love you!
Aww you guys are too cute in that pic! Sounds like you had bunches of fun in Vegas. I will definitely take time off etc if you plan a MN get-together!!! Seeing as though I’ve never been to my own state fair? crazy!
Ahhhh! I miss the drive from LA to Vegas. We made it several times and that trip is one of my favorite memories. So glad it provided great ones for you, too. LOVE.
Why didn’t I go to Serendipity 3?! I saw it, & I was like, “Hm… that looks like it would be scrumptious” but I walked past it! UGH! I should have gone. (By the way, have you ever seen the movie Serendipity? If not, you must! It’s one of my favorites.)
I sort of envy you that you got a chance to drive down with all of those amazing girls. That was part of the reason I wanted to go alone. I really wanted to have my car full of interesting people to keep my company on the drive home. Not that I’m complaining! My husband is a nice co-pilot. But I would have loved to be in the middle of the action that transpired in your vehicle going to Vegas. :] Next time! I call shot gun!
Allie, Jamie and I stopped at Serendipity and it was awesome. I have a picture too of me next to that statue! Craziness.
What a sweet post! I think we all had that kind of moment on the trip where we wondered how the hell we ever survived without these gals in our life!?
Also, so adorable that your mom comments on your blog. =)
