I worked in Vegas for 4 months, so I had plenty of time to play there. Go offstrip for one night (or part of one). To the Hard Rock Hotel. The gambling scene there is young, fresh and fun.

Well the good thing? When we are walking on the Strip you wind up passing and seeing a lot of these things (Eiffel Tower, Bellagio, etc) so you will be able to fit that in, no problem. And Vegas has a way of showing you the town, if that makes any sense. Every time I'm there (this will be my 4th trip) I learn something new, see something accidentally and get comped something new. Tickets to a show. A stretch limo which will take us wherever we want. Oh, I also learned that 4 hours of sleep per night is considered a lot of sleep while in Vegas. It's an up all night city so we'll be just fine!

Here are some potential topics and also red flags to watch for when out with any guy.

Ask him about his family and pay attention to how he talks about his family. This is an important connection should a potential involvement be there. Are the ties deep or does he have no relationship with them??

What does he say about women in general? How does he refer to women and what does he talk about if he brings up women in his past? Also, watch how he is with you; does he keep his eyes on you, or allow them to roam? I wouldn't bring this topic up, but listen if he starts to get chatty about the exes.

Job history. A random and sporadic job history speaks volumes. What kind of jobs has he held?? Career types, or just 'get by' types.

What about his friends? Does he have a lot of good friends or is he mostly a loner? Ask him to tell you about them.

Sports is always a good topic so you can discover whether you'll be having to follow a team to keep up with him.

Watch his drinking too, and for gods sake...don't get tipsy on the first date, or the third, or even until you know him well enough to do that.

And I can't agree enough with SoMi- take any and all potential out of the equation. It does make it more fun, trust me. And one more thing- have a backup/flee plan in place, or just decide that you'll be strong enough to say 'Hey, you know I just don't think this is feeling quite right to me.' Don't waste any time if you get some wild sense of fear. That's instinct that's designed to protect you. Listen.

And what to wear? Look terrific- that shouldn't be hard- but not suggestive, or worse, desperate. Be yourself. You are fun, energetic and a terrific person. Let it shine, my friend.
