A Little Friday Entertainment Update

  • Congratulations to Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz on the birth of their first child, son Bronx (like the neighborhood) Mogli (like from “Jungle Book”) Wentz.  Bronx Mowgli Wentz popped out at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.
  • Apparently there’s a new movie out about vampires.  I don’t know.  Haven’t heard much about it.  (Lies.  I’m dying to jump on that bandwagon and plan to read it over Thanksgiving.)
  • ABC announced that no more episodes will be ordered of primetime shows, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, and Dirty Sexy Money, which essentially means they’re being cancelled. Two of those - Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money were two of the only primetime shows I ever made time for. Apparently Pushing Daisies is ending in a cliffhanger (think Ned’s and Chuck’s lips will actually finally meet?  But then she would die.  Sad.)
